Pockit/Delete your account

Delete your Pockit account

There are two ways to do it, and both remove the same thing: your account and everything in it. Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, no grace period, and no way for us to bring a deleted account back — so please be sure before you start.

Option 1 · Fastest

In the app

If you still have Pockit installed and can sign in, delete it yourself. It takes about ten seconds and no one has to approve it.

  1. 1

    Open Pockit and tap Profile in the bottom bar.

  2. 2

    Scroll down to the Account section.

  3. 3

    Tap Delete account — the red row underneath Sign out.

  4. 4

    Pockit asks Delete account? and warns you that this cannot be undone. Tap Delete account again to confirm.

That is it. Your account and its data are erased right then, and the app signs you out.

Option 2 · No app needed

Ask us by email

Uninstalled Pockit, lost the phone, or cannot sign in? Then email us and we will delete the account for you. You do not need to reinstall anything.

To be straight with you about what this page does: it cannot delete your account by itself. A web form has no way to prove that the person filling it in owns the account, and we are not going to erase someone's collection on an unverified say-so. So the web route is a request you send us, and a human acts on it.

Email support@pockit.in

This opens your mail app with the subject and message already written. If the button does not work, just write to support@pockit.in yourself and ask us to delete your account.

Send it from the email address you signed in with, if you still have it. If you cannot, tell us which address the account uses and we will ask you a couple of questions to confirm it is yours before we delete anything.

The details

What gets deleted

The same thing on both routes: all of it. Deleting your account removes

your account details — your name, your email address, your user ID, and your ability to sign in;

everything you saved — every link, social post, screenshot, image, document, and note;

everything Pockit worked out about your saves — the titles and descriptions it wrote, and the embeddings (the numeric representations of meaning) that made them searchable;

your categories;

your in-app search history;

any support requests you sent us from inside the app; and

every file we stored for you, removed from our file storage.

None of it is archived, held in a bin, or kept for later. The only exception is the limited data we are legally required to hold on to — for example to meet a legal obligation, to resolve a dispute, or to enforce our terms — and only for as long as that reason genuinely lasts. That exception is written out in Section 8 of the Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account is also how you withdraw your consent to Pockit processing your data.

The details

How long it takes

In the app: immediately. The delete runs while you wait. By the time the app signs you out, it is done.

By email: within 7 days of us confirming the request is yours, and never longer than 30 days. We email you back when it is done.
